I got this on special as it was only on offer for one week at apprx 400 USD thats 888 AUS dollars.. its the cheapest most effective upgrade I could get my hands on without having to fork over tons of cash...

p.s this is just the box.. theres nothing ealse that comes with it, Box only , No monitor, No Keyboard & Mouse, No Operation System

Now I think in future I may have to upgrade the motherboard but Im not sure yet.. see how it runs .. on tweak zone apparently they said it aint a bad mb for budget although it has some performance loss it isn't a bad alternative for gamers.

The vid crd suck but I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW if its better than my FX5200 128 mbram...

One day I'll upgrade the sound too but AC97 sound isn't to bad as i have it on my current xp1700 as well..

No DVD although my other computer has a DVD so Im not worried...

It has a p4 3ghz chip and thats what's good about it if nothing ealse lol.. and the ram DDR400 aint bad either though I will want to get another 512 - 1.5gb more of it..

If anyone can comment on anything I should know about any individualo parts let us know thnks.. Im basically in need of a new Rig for Rome Total War... I want that game so muchos grande..

jesus christ only about 400 usd, i'd just add a vid card and i'd buy it. I don't see a point in getting a new monitor keyboard or mouse. And i already have an os that has been mailed to me by b0nesy ;D

Yeah Im overall happpy with it and the fx5200 that I put in it allows me to play cod at 1204 x 1024 or something and I can have heaps of detail on BF1942 along with 64 bots which does lag briefly while it compputes the bots but yeah definatley speed up. But I really need a 9800 vid card to utuilize the power of my p4 3gig effectivley.. with 256 meg o ram thnks so I can plays doom3 ....

and 1 gb of ram...

That's a great deal for all that stuff. Whenever I build a new computer I always go way over budget.

I think I'll stick with the crapper I have now until Half-Life 2 is released for certain. All those people who upgraded last year thinking it would be released soon must be kicking themselves now. I'm not upgrading until the game is on store shelves.
