AK-47's can kill people with one shot to the head, whereas the M4 usually takes two. The recoil on the AK-47 is a lot worse than the M4, so bursting with the AK is key, unlike the M4 where it's not as hard to pull down. They both hold the same amount of bullets, but other than that they're pretty different rifles.
