Have you played the e3demo map? Like PhysTown or something like that? I heard all that AI shit they talked about (Like "Yaeh, our AI will learn and react") was just a bunch of scripted events put together for E3

VALVe never said anything about what events were scripted and what events weren't. At any rate it was a demo, maybe they weren't done with the AI yet but knew how it was going to turn out, and wanted to convey that E3. A lot of tech demos are smoke and mirrors, afterall, if the game was finished it would be released.

I don't think anyone should be making assumpions or judgements about a build of the game stolen from VALVe that probably wasn't even ready for private QA, let alone public consumption.

Aside from a few maps that wont load, I have a pretty rock solid game. The only problem I do see is all the shadows are retarded and take the form of squares. Besides that the game kicks ass and when valve finally releases it, the game is gonna last longer than half-life has.

The fact that the game got leaked it great. First they say 30th sept, then cancel it one week before, saying all the while before that that nothing was changed with the release date, now I hear it`s april 2004. Now the leak is out, and valve really have to get off their asses and get it done before people get tired of it. Most people will probably play this and then get the full version when it gets out, but some people who really don`t care that much about it, but where thinking about buying it will probably get this instead and just try out the physics and be done with it.

This is justice for lying to us, and probably knowing about it all the while.

edit: How do you get the water to look descent?

Think I`ll call valve and complaint

valve is just making excuses. how would a leak slow the game down? smells like shit to me. are they changing the whole game around just cause it got out?

I was saying tht because at e3 they said the AI was going to react to you, not scripted shit.

Should I quote myself again or should I repeat myself in a way you can understand?
