Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the first few shots fire okay but are completely ineffective, and then half way through the magazine the gun switches sides and the bullet shoots out the back and into you.

Granted they are rather accurate... but that is on account of them only firing a 9mm round (Stopping power of a gnat kthx). Since handguns are meant for CQB them a .45 or .40 would be much more efficient. A .45 has awesome stopping power and a range of about 50 to 75 meters depending on the make and manufacturing of the hand gun. Most 9mm will shoot to 100 meters but that is most likely not even going to break the skin or get good penetration. "Gangstas" might love berettas in the movies and on the streets, but that is because of there mass production and extremely inexpensive price. I seriously think you got ripped paying more than 350 for a beretta. As fars best handguns on the market I would have to say that Heckler & Koch make the most reliable and most accurate handguns.
P.S. If any of you guys get a Desert Eagle in any caliber I hope you dont plan on actually shooting it or shooting it often. It is heavy as fuck, hence the name "Hand Cannon" and in untrained or arms with a lack of hardcore muslce will be highly inaccurate and very dangerous to those around you and to yourself.
