sorry to hear that axe, it may have been fun. we probably wouldn't have any money for it either, but every year we have the NORTH MECK BBQ. seriously, it raises upwards of 40,000 every year that goes for prom and various other things the school needs. we've been doing it for 30-some years now and it always sells out. we buy lots of pig, cook it over hickory in the bbq pit (yes we have a wood-fueled bbq pit at our school), chop it, profit.

anyway, ours was at Bank of America Stadium, or Ericsson Stadium, or whatever the hell they call it now. That's where the Carolina Panthers play and occasionally win some games from what I hear. it was great fun. i thought they were going to stick us in the ballroom under the field but we were in some other unidentifiable room that may have been a VIP lounge ?? anyway, it had a tiled area that served as a dance floor and an upper level with food (you know, the kind that nobody eats at prom because you probably already spent some Godawful amount of money on food). it's a nice stadium and given the chance to go back to prom i would never do it because i'm fuckin leaving high school man

i know it didn't take 4 hours for that to happen. i would have ducked in for a couple minutes to steal food.
