I wish I had a clue how to use photoshop. Making lines on the ballon and the shiny effect are way out of my league. Oh well.

that's good for not knowing much about ps. just experiment with stuff. find tutorials and do them. i think just tinkering around with stuff, not really knowing what you're doing or what's going to happen is the best way to figure stuff out.
there are multiple ways to achieve basically the same effect for some things.
