damn 40 degrees F thats pretty cold....how the hell did you survive?
1 - 18 hours is probably about it.
2 - Nyquil. That shit works like a working charm for me. I also agree with roadeh about smoking some herb. But if you're not a pothead, a cigarette may work as well. I couldn't get to sleep last night. Sleepy as hell, but couldn't just sit still and close my eyes. So I went down, smoked a cig, walked back up, and then slept like a baby. Maybe it was the walking up and down the stairs that did it. :darkstar: I dunno, but give it a shot.
I also tend to rub one off, but you said that doesn't do anything for you. Damn shame. :tongue:
Longest I ever slept was 29 hours.
I have never needed anything to help me off to sleep, but a good round in the sack never hurts. ;)

christ I have been in -23 before. 40degrees is fucking warm.
