I had a flight leaving from LAX yesterday to move permanently to Denver for full time work with my company and to start on college.  I packed up my belongings and had a backpack full of DVD's and CD's.

 

I get to the airport earlier than I should. Check my 4 bags in and get my ticket. Then I have to take my things to their x-ray machines so they can make sure that im not carrying any shoe bombs. I go through their metal detectors and get my carry on searched and agree to them asking me to boot up my laptop and take off my shoes and let them molest me before I'm allowed to go to the terminal where my plane is waiting.

 

I get through their checkpoints and go and wait and make a few phone calls to friends and girls that I screwed up with and try to basically be nice and extra polite to people and everyone around me since its basically my last day in LA and I wanted to leave on a good note. I get on my flight and arrive at DIA and go straight to the baggage claim terminal and somehow end up being one of the first ones from my plane there. I wait extra long to have them bring the luggage and when they finally do it's one of the last ones out.

 

I get my belongings and start to head home. Getting there I start to unpack and I notice that instead of having a backpack full of CD's and DVD's I have only 2 left in there. The fuckers even took my contact lenses that were in the front pocket of the backpack. I call them up immediately and talk to a person in charge of customer care and they give me the number of the main office in Denver for me to call. I call and leave my name and number and my complaint to not have them call me back at all the next day. So I call them up again today and they redirect me to another customer care and let me file a complaint that is supposed to go to their security cheif. I ask them when they will call me about the theft from my belongings and they don't give me any answer.

 

My total loss was around $300 for the DVD's and $150 for my contacts.

 

Fuck you airport security. I hope you faggots really fucking die.

i just flew and i never get stopped or searched or any of that stuff, but i guess the aus security isn't as harsh as the US. interesting point - my watch never goes off in a metal detactor. i asked the guy why, and he said because they don't search for 'that type of metal'. ie. stainless steal. i thought that was a little weird.

good luck getting your shit back, if they don't, if you keep complaining something will be bound to happen. fuckers!

I've been calling all day today to basically get nowhere new. :([[

I'm hoping that I can get at least the monetary value of my belongings back at least since they do have some policy on stolen items. The security cheif who is supposed to be looking into my complaint hasn't even gotten back to me after a week to followup or even ask me more questions about it.

Next time I'm bringing anything to the airport I'm going to let them search it in front of me and then put fucking locks on everything.
