I didn't know you too well before, and leaving this place for a while didn't really help that. But I remember that you were always a generally cool guy. You were funny, smart, and almost always had good input on a given subject. Your presence will be missed. :(

firstly i'd like to say that from the tone of the thread it seems like people are acting like they will never see kindred again, which i can assure you is total horseshit. there's no way we can get rid of him that easily - someone that can fall out of a helicopter and only have a slight bruise to show for it is obviously made of much tougher stuff (and not to mention his iron stomach).

i don't think there'd be a truck big enough that we could fill with praise to dump on kindred, we'd need a few at the very least. i condisder kindred as good a friend as any i have had and yet we still haven't met - oh the wonders of the internet! he's definitely the key-stone to many aspects of this community, and i'm sure that without his leadership and input this place would be half of what it is. he's got all the answer to all the quetions, and basically an all-around top bloke. down the line, fair, and no afraid to say what he believes should be said.

i already know you're going to be fine over there mate, but be careful and stay safe none-the-less. you're not only doing your country proud but everyone that knows you - i for one feel a great sense of pride in knowing such a fucking awesome, well rounded bloke.

take care and remember to take a lot of jack because there probably won't be much available over there. oh and when you come back you're more than welcome to hit hawaii via tasmania (tho that has always been the case) :)

if i know one thing, it'll be that i'll have a few drinks with you some time down the track. we're going to miss you but we know you'll be back safe and sound in no time. i guess the problem is how will we survive without such a great leader and pillar of the community?
