I run Win2k Pro, just for pure ease of use and stability.  I tried Linux for a little while, but it took too much effort to do too little, so here I chose the lazy man's OS.  That, and it was free.

I'm running XP now. It seems the same it was when I tried it almost a year ago. The reliability of it is great, but I can't get games to run. :/

What games cant you get to run?

Battlefield 1942, the only game I play. ?:o

or "would play" ;0

i'm switched to xp about a week ago from good old 98ME which might i say is the shitest OS i've ever had the misfortune of using. xp handles my memory so much better + there are so few bottlenecks... on ME after a day my RAM usage would be about 255/256, but with XP after a week up it's still only using around 130/256 for everything that i use. soooo good. i (sadly) can't speak highly enough of it!

:)

I concur. I can't possibly flaw xp in terms of stabillity or efficiency. The only gripe i have with is the fact that it come with 3 visual themes. I want more, without the hassle of having to install 3rd party software. XP shouldve happened a long time ago. ?:o
