Heh, I've noticed that irony as well. For instance, I'm all for premarital sex. If I were a father and found out that my son had hopped on the good foot and did the bad thing with a (preferably) female, then I'd probably give him a beer and congratulate him. However, if I found out that my daughter had sex, I'd probably yell and complain about it and attempt to track down the little fucker and smash apart some of his valuables... Maybe his face as well.

I am of Daoist philosiphy, since I think once you read a book like the Dao De Jing (This isnt Daoism but alot of our philosphy spans from the man Lao Tzu) you'll realise it isnt much of a religion, well in my opinion it isnt much of one.
In ancient chinese times some time in the period of the Song dynasty and even before that we too believed in God / a "God" and actually make sacrifices to this god, this was animals and stuff nothing of paticular importanace to the people. After time they started to realise that there god wasnt answering there calls so IT got kicked out i'm abit sketchy on what happened after that they were probably all abit messed up at time but then Lao Tzu came and so did another guy who ran Confusic~~ something :)
You'll all know about Ying & Yang, theres all sort of adaptations on exactly what this is nowadays but too me the black represents women the gates to heaven and hell and the white is the man the "good". We believe in Heaven & Hell as parts of Mother nature on not as homes of God & the devil as scribed in other religions. Which moves me onto sex! If I were ever to reach heaven or hell then I must enter through the gates that conceptually is a women :)
Abortion is something I am very sketchy upon my belief that from death comes life, from creation comes destruction etc the two are inseperable things. From your joining with dao comes a new chi I think this taking of chi (inner life) can only mean that they will be bonded again with doa (an external force, like Akira).
I believe in the creation of emptiness because then all things can rise together, if this means to give away what spare change I have in my pocket to a poorer person than so be it. If this were to mean buying a big issue of a seller than so be it (The Big issue is a UK Magazine run by a organisation who sell this magazine to people who are homeless or in a instable finanacial posistion, this runs for one year in that time this person will be given training & housing so they can find work).

I dont see any racism in my school. ?Sure there is a few white trash kids that dont like black people, but no one goes around saying "I hate niggers". ?I would have to say on a whole our generation, at least kids in urban/suburban areas are much more open minded and see people as equal compared to the generations that came before us. ?Its just crazy to think you dont like someone because they are jewish, italian, black, asian or gay, its just so ridiculous sounding. ?
Its just really wierd when I talk to my grandparents and they make racist remarks about blacks and dont even realize it. ?I guess I am very fortunate that the beliefs my grandparents have did not pass on to me. ?I remember once my grandfather was talking, and I remember his exact words, "I have nothing against black people moving into my neighborhood, they just don't know how to keep a house nice looking." ?Oh well what are you going to do, every ethnic group has their struggle in the US. ?Just look at the catholics, italians, asians, irish, polish, german, and ever other group of people that have immigrated in large numbers into the country. ?As I write this something else come to my mind, my grandfather who is Irish and first generation born in the US is the one that made the remark about black people. ?I know for a fact if someone called him a drunk who abuses his wife he would be very offended by this stereotype, yet he would turn around and make remarks about blacks. ?BTW Its not like my grandparents are part of the KKK hell, none of them could ever be a member since my mom's parents are polish, german, french, and irish, and my dads parents are 100% sicillian.
Racism is such a complex and in many ways hypocritical thing, all I know is I was raised without any racism and have no hatred against any ethnic group.
Like I said before every large group of immigrants has its struggle coming to the US, the current having to be hispanics and people from the middle east, especially after the whole 911 event. ?Though its interesting that thoughout all the years blacks have seem to always have trouble with racism and criticism. ?At one point irish people were regarded as lower than blacks, yet today someone who is predjuice would easily hire an irish person over a black.
