That would a M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon). Or as the CS kiddies like to call it... a Para. It is a 5.56mm fully automatic machine gun. the scope on top is a AN/PVS6, the night vision scoped used on the weapon. It also has daylight functionality as well.

Looks like Kindred answered it! I knew it was an M249, the one in CS but I didnt know it had a scope.
