the stereotypes exist from emperical evidence and precedent. almost ALL stereotypes arise from these two things; also from xenophobia and ignorance :o
i don't really mind them, as long as the people saying them use it in a general sense and not an absolute one.
p.s.
germans, on the whole, DO have a dark sense of humour, so what?
most germans ARE racist to some degree, not necessarily against anyone else, but racist FOR germans.
a good example of that is the child naming laws. or not being allowed to wear burkhas in school. and now even ethnic germans not being allowed to attain proper citizenship outside of a small # each year.

You've blown my mind and changed it... I now think everyones racist, they jus dun know it yet... well in a way we are due to cultural/physical differences and in our mind its hard ot to expect differences from at least one other cultural r physical point of view. Doesn't always have to be bad racism just culural ones whose point of view suggests that some cultures dun mix with others very well..
anyway Im done hijacking this thread too ;0
