where was that taken? two of my nephews are half metis. 1/2 of a 1/2 like dubey.
It was taken by Boonie Doon last week. But everyone always makes this mistake, you cannot be half metis. You either are or you're not. But if you have metis blood flowing in you veins, you are full metis. Does that make sence? It's not like, if your mom was native and dad was white your half and half, because metis is a hybred speices of europeans and Native americans, we're different. Like my grandfather was metis, I guess in a way you can say full. He was full native as well. And with me I only have a quater of his blood in my veins, but its enough to make me metis. But if my daughter were to have a child with someone with no metis blood in them, her child would not be. Get it? Its easy but complex. lol.

I'm confused by your terminology. Your species, as every other humans' species, is sapiens sapiens, not Metis, whatever that may be. I've never heard of it, and what I'm getting from this explanation is that it's like being Hapa but also like being Jewish in that:
-if you're half white and half asian you are Hapa
but also that
-if you're born to a Jewish mother you are Jewish
??

I guess I could have used race, or culture; species is more of an inside joke I guess. But yes, it is like that exactly. 1/8 blood... its around there. I am not too sure. I could ask my mother who works for metis nation, but not even she would be too sure. Its like a Hapa, if they keep marrying into white familys, eventually it runs out. Right?

You could always use %ages... I for examplke am 50% German 25% Berber (morrocan) a non arabic race that apparently came from South America (Atlantis -ref DIscovery channel), and 25% French.
I have a family book that traces my family back to 700AD... gets sent to use every few years from the German archives.
At the end of the day though I have no idea what the fuck to associate with.. I live in Australia, travel under a french passport and an AUssie one and I speak english and German and I look arabic/spanish/greek...
So yer.. I declare my own race... Himmelstossians... first order of business... a country without people for a people with out a country.
