Changing the resolution of a jpg without resising it in photoshop:

Since I need to do some batch work on a load of jpgs involving text, I need to set the resolution of the jpgs (using a photoshop action), without changing the dimensions (in pixels) of the images.

Confused? I drew a picture:

Remember, I need to be able to do this using a recorded action and each image is not the same size.

Can you help??

ok, i have no experience with actions so i don't really have a clue as to what you want it to do. ?i think you're saying you need to change the resolution without chaning the size of the picture?

if that's it, as far as i know, you can write down the dimensions of the pictures, change the res and then change the dimensions of the picture back to what they were previously.

sorry if that doesn't help :(

you might try asking on another forum, i'd recommend www.graphic-forums.com
