The most reported problems so far seem to be various HL crashes, skys not loading on TFC and CS maps, reports of no sound during play, admin mod issues, unable to start single player at all (yikes!), and an Opposing Force issue reported by a few people which makes OpFor unplayable.
This sounds more like a beta release bug list than an update for a 3 years old game.

ololol i just played 1.4 today
looks liek teh n00bs have taken ovar
my skills feel worthless now (so i never was a supar 1337 player but before 1.4 i managed some 6:1ish ratios)
i have no problems with teh 1.4
winner is me
oh did i mention it would crash after i leave a server and try to enter another one
