Well, Well...

Chemical Engineering seems to be rather up my area anyways. Now I have a problem, I don't really enjoy doing the work, but I have the second highest GPA in my course.

I really don't know what I want to do now. It was a lot easier when I thought I was doing poorly. I was gonna drop out of Chemical Engineering, go into Chemistry, get a Teaching Degree, and become a teacher. Simple right?

Or I can stick with engineering, make a lot more money (hopefully) and risk being unhappy. Ohh well... any advice?

BTW here are my grades.

875 CHMO 33C3 Biochemistry 1 A+

876 CHMP 23C1 Physical Chemistry 1 B+

872 CTRL 23C1 Instrumentatn & Proc Ctrl 1 A+

1848 ENVS 23C1 Environmental Science A

873 FLUD 23C1 Fluid Mechanics B+

874 INDT 23C1 Chem Process Industries 1 A

877 RESE 23C1 Technical Report 1 B+

878 UNOP 23C1 Unit Operations 1 A

Overall GPA 3.85

I'm not really familar, well I'm not at all familiar with your schooling system, by finals I assume your in College?

Either which way this isn't what were addressing, careers/further education are an arkward path to choose, I debated for some time over wether to choose ECommerce or Multimedia, in the end I went down the multimedia pathway to concentrate more on experimental design rather than more marketing and very corporate themed designing. This will yes earn me less money than choosing the commerce path.

Over here (England) it's pretty easy to change courses after a few weeks or at the end of an academic year in University, which does to a point take some of the pressure away. I'll say this do not let your grades, money or anything else outside your head influence your final decision. By the same token do not ignore them.

mr_lee for example, quite promptly quit a flourishing intarweb company to move back to Taz, where he eventually met his bucket and was alot happier than he had been for some time, still not helping huh?

At this point i'm not drunk but not far off, so skim through the bullshit. I worked with a colleague for two weeks in a local based Water board company, he is by trade a very talented systems developer, he recently did alot of database work for the Ministry of Defence. He's on an hourly rate of ?350, his gross wage packet is quite hefty, a little bit lighter after tax but none the less quite big. He lives in his own house, owns a nice car and lives with his good looking girlfriend, he's by no means happy with his working enviroment.

At the end of all this it doesn't really matter what me, shep, himmel, my mum or indeed anyone else says to you. This is your decision to make, so tell me what you'd choose and I don't want "It would make me lots of money" as the answer, money is good but it will eventually make you unhappy
