it's damn fun but i have a bit of a problem... it runs like shit

i have a 1.7 ghz p4 with 512mb ram and a gf fx 5200 and even with everything down i cant make playable framerates quite often. I dont understand it. I get like .5 fps in a simple 1 on 1 battles...

i also have this bug where whenever i cross zones in the map my character runs like super fast all the way across and gets stuck in the wall across from wherever im standing.

help would be much appreciated.

I own KOTOR on X-Box. I recently played it on PC at a friend's house. Holy shit, everything was so different and I was confused as hell how to even execute actions that were so simple on the console.

I would say it is most likely your video card. Scrap it and get a Radeon 9600 pro. I have it for the xbox but i am kind of curious to see how it runs on my t-bird 1.3 (running at 1.5 though) with 512 ram and a radeoon 9600 pro.

the 3d card was a compromise due to me not having any money. It's better than the gf2 mx that it replaced and it cost less than $100.

i didnt (and still dont) have $300 to spend on a new graphics card.

The others are right. I have played it on PC, but I own it for XBOX. XBOX version looks awesome and the controls are very simplistic.

That game is NOT worth buying neither a new 3D card or an xbox.

(I'm aware you probably weren't going to anyway)

on the other hand, if you already have a decent pc or an xbox then i would say you should get it as it is a great game.
