It would be interesting to know where a lot people came from before their days at semicolon-zero. How did you find out about this place and what forums/communities/IRC channels did you belong to prior?

As with a number of people, I was a regular poster of the CS OTF forums from 2000-2002. I can't say for sure now, but I think it was mR p0t8o h3d who originally gave me the link to the site. Besides the CS forums I could often be seen posting on dslreports.com, paintballcity.com, and rec.sport.paintball.

I wasn't a regular on gamesnet until summer 2001 when #mf101 was in full swing. I had occasionally been in #cs-otf before, but was by no means a regular. That led to #killing-grounds where I chilled with MikeJ. My stay there didn't last too long and I was soon a regular in #semicolon-zero with the most awesome people on all the internet.

So tell me, how did you stumble in here? ;0

I was also on the OTF forums for awhile. I also posted at the lineage boards and I can't remember what else I did.

I think joined IRC when the OTF got its channel, but that asshole stabber kepts on kicking me, so I stopped using IRC for a year or so. Then one summer, I think bug or someone, maybe another posters I cant remember, could have been Anti-you or rudesmurf, well, one of the older posters from MSN told me about the channel, so I decided to re-join. And everyone was like 'wow fr0d' I was like 'sup'

This being my first post, I might as well tell you guys where I came from. My first message board was on IGN.com, I don't know if you anyone here posted there, but it was chaos, after about 2 years I left to Stupid-Trash.net a friend of mine many of you know as Seraph started. And I figured this would be an interesting place to look at. Guess I was right. :D

Yap. Started at [H]ard|OCP forums, then when General Mayhem was taken away there I got a link to another forum. When that forum died I got a link to another forum, which is still around and has led me to another forum as well.

I heard of ;0 from none of those places. The first reason I ever got into IRC was after macabre (who I know "IRL") told me of ;0 back when you guys were on your own server... I hung out in there for, I don't know, a week? That was 1-2 years ago. Then I got into IRC when my clan got our own channel on GameSurge, and at that point macabre told me you guys were on there, so I /joined and I've stayed.

These forums I came to after a few days of joining the GameSurge channel.

THe moral of the story is to blame macabre.

EDIT: and can i plz ban higgy if he joins the irc chan

Before ;0 I didn't know was irc was, and I was only a member of the SA forums (thanks to pikacheney, a friend from school). Then pika imed once and told me to download mirc and how to set it up, and brought me to the channel "because there needed to be more girls." I joined the ;0 forums about a month later.

I still don't know how to use irc at all :eek:

In conclusion it's pika's fault that I'm an irc nerd. ur so ded david

I think I came to the #cs-otf channel before I started posting in the b@x forums and I don't really remember how that happened. My name was vaporous jetman at the time, I think up until ;0 was made. I can still remember the day it was registered as a TFC clan channel ;_;
