I always order a medium-well cooked steak. I find undercooked/raw meat to be absolutly revolting. For some odd reason, lots of people enjoying chewing on the raw flesh that is a rare steak. Because I am not a caveman, I like my meat thouroughly cooked. Live cattle doesn't belong on a plate.


 


A medium-well cooked steak is perfect preperation. It also reduces the chance of salmonella/mad cow. Plus the occasional tasty burnt bits is a treat to be had. Anything too pink envokes the gag reflex.


 


Do you like your steak bloody, like your women? Or are you a more evolved creature who enjoys your meat cooked?

I love my medium-rare. My parents raised us in our family to get our food well-done, and it was one of the reasons that I never ate steak, until I tried medium, which tasted much better. I never tried rare, but medium-rare is good. I've never seen blood dripping out of the steak, so I guess i'm good. But my mom thinks that if the steak isn't cooked all the way thoroughly it posses a threat with all the bacteria, but aslong as the steak is faced to high enough temperatures for a short period, there is no place for bacteria to live. :o

for me, there is nothing finer than a piece of filet mignon that is hot as hell, burnt to a crisp on the outside, a little bit of grey in the inside, yet still bleeds when i bite down.


 


just a little less cooked than medium rare on any steak over 1" thick!


 


edit: never been worried about bacteria in food; i stop cooking chicken when it is still slightly pink in the middle, and i used to eat cured but uncooked pork.

Medium for me, and I also usually never put on steak sauce unless the steak is really nasty ;__;. I like the flavor of the steak.

axey i think you forgot an important steak related question so i'll ask it


 


Do our steak eaters sop up steak juices(blood etc) with their roll and eat it?

When I used to eat meat, it was all medium-rare for me. And hell yeah, FUCK steak sauce. The meat was good by itself.

Come on it ruins the flavour of meat to cook it. Hot but still red is the only way to get the real flavour of the meat.
