Ouch...Yesterday at work some dumb customer wanted their brownies on a triple threat sundae warmed up so i stick 'em in the microwave for like 40 seconds, make the sundae and all that and give it to the server. Well the guy comes back like a minute later with an anoyed look in his face and says "now the customer is complaining that the warmed brownie is causing it to melt faster and that he just wants a regular one now" I was just about to go to the table and stab the cunt, but what ever. So im just about to start the new sundae when i realize that was the last of the brownies :( i head into storage, get a fresh box and head back to my station. Now im trying to open the box and i'm having no luck. By this point 4 more orders came through and 2 customers were waiting to pay debt. On top of all that the phone rings and no one else is around to answer it, so i answer it and it's the vice president of the company asking for the manager. I page the GM, tell the customers i'll be just just one minute and go back to trying to open the box. I'm kind of rushing at this point so i use a knife to open it, it slips and i take a chunk out of my middle finger. I quickly wrap some paper towel and some tape around the wound, finish the sundae, page the GM again, do the debts and then the 4 other orders (1 creamsicle, 2 apple pies and a cheese cake sampler) I finally have a moment to myself so i head to the first aid kit and of course we're out of bandages so i have to go to the managers office to get some. I restock the kit, clean the wound, put a bandage and a finger condom on then head back to my station.

What have we learned here today?

Nope, no stiches. Although instead of being nice and round like a normal finger, it's nice and round and then suddenly streight and weird, then back to looking like a normal finger. I hope it stays like that.

I have the peice of my finger that I cut off next to my laptop, it's pretty nice looking.

Pest, did you give blood over the douches brownie? Cherry sauce, get it!

LOL no, but there was some blood on the sundae glass thingy. I whiped it off before the server took it.

Cherry sauce isn't part of our brownie sundae unless you ask for it. The only thing that gets some type of sauce are the cheese cakes and we use blue berry sauce for blue berry smoothies. Banana splits get caramel, chocolate and some strawberry sauce in the bottom though. Ugghh i need to get a new job, the fact that i just typed that out is sad.

LOL

On my first day alone i had made everything on the menu except for waffles so i go up to Wing (250 pound Chinese manager) and say "yo, Wingman...i dunno how to make waffles...can i make 1 for practice?" he emediately fills 2 waffle irons with batter and starts taking me through the process. When they're done he goes through the possible topping combinations with me. He chops bananas, strawberries and pineapple, throughs them on a waffle, drenches it in chocolate sauce and whipped cream etc. When hes done he takes that waffle and just walks away from me saying "this ones mine"

I had to join a Gym a couple weeks ago, a lot of times you'll make something too big or customers will change their minds and you're stuck with extra smoothie or a piece of chocolate cake...if Wing isn't around someone's got to eat it...

How's it healing Fr0d? Mine's pretty much good. Yesterday this pregnant cook cut herself and almost fainted. It was pretty freaky. The cut was nothing though.
