am i the only one freaked out that doctors call what they do "practice"?


 


i mean, christ...i dont want some doctor telling me one day in the near future when im in hospital for a triple bypass, "dont worry, ive been practicing medicine for years"...damnit i want him to say "I AM MEDICAL SUPER NINJA i will fix u!"


 


oh, and why are people who handle your money called "brokers"?


 


....why are shipments done by car, and why do boats carry cargo?

They call it practicing, because technically no matter how long they have been in medicine they are not experts and haven not encountered everything there is to encounter.  Therefore it is called practicing.
