I also saw the actual transcript - despite what was put in the article, I can say that several of them were EXTREMELY concered and trying desperately to figure out what to do.

One kid was spamming the Poison Control Center's national number in hopes that someone had an idea of where the kid lived to get him help.

actually the "person" spamming the poison control center number was a bot. ?And they had his real address, in his whois, nobody really did anything. ?Only the phone number was fake. ?I saw the log myself and later the update from the guy?s brother, and nobody called anybody despite what is in the log. ?Is the chatroom responsible for his death? ?Hardly. ?Could they have done more to prevent it/help? Yes. ?
