If you have a new dvd player, and the people you want to distribute the dvds to.
On top of making my own dvds from stuff i dload i also need somewhere to back up data since my 80 and 120 gig drives are both full.
If you have the money I would say yes.
well it one week later and i am now an expert (almost) on burning dvds....basicly, if you can watch it on a computer i can make a dvd out of it....this thing pwnz my soul!
Sweet sometime with in the next 12 months I hope to get one.

what's the storage capacity of a dvd?

Last I checked the Storage capacity for a DVD is 4.7Gigs.
