I don't understand this text messaging shit you euros do. Here in God's USA we use our phones for talking.
TBH niether do I, but..
1. Txt dont require another person to pick up the phone to hear what you want to say. You can txt then they can answer in thier own time.
2. Some peopl are more timmid about talking than they are about txting
3. In the day time, on some contracts (especially Pay as you go ones), calls can cost 40ppm or higher. Txting is ~10p all the time.
I suppose its just a culture thats sprung up.
