Radeon's are reasonably priced gems, which pack loadsa *punch*

I'm on my Gigabyte 8500 Deluxe, and i'm very pleased with it. I usually play at 1024 by 768 with 2X AA and 16X AF enabled, and i'm still able to get good fps. I picked mine up for 220$ back when it first came out.

I've got my eyes on the 9700 which is like a wet dream come true for me.

I dont think there really any games out there right now which really do make these cards pay for themselves i.e pure performance in actual noticeable gameplay. Benchmarking has shown the 9700 to outstrip anything so far made even when it was in its beta production stage. I'd go for the 9700 for the simple reason at time of writing everyone seems to be sayin this thing wont be an ancient dino' next week.

Price range of both companies cards in the very top spec hasnt gone either way in favour of the two companies here in Britain dont know about anywhere else though.
