 Banana Smoothie

  1  cup fruit juice, chilled

1  cup plain or vanilla nonfat yogurt

  2  large banana, cut up

1. In a blender container combine fruit juice, strawberries, yogurt, and banana. Cover and blend until smoth. Makes one 12-ounce glass.

Banana-Strawberry Smoothies

1  cup frozen unsweetened whole strawberries

  2   ripe small bananas

  1  8-ounce carton vanilla low-fat yogurt

  3/4  cup milk

1. Peel bananas. Cut bananas into chunks. Place banana chunks, frozen strawberries, yogurt, and milk into blender a container.

2. Cover blender and blend on high speed about 1 minute or until mixture is smooth. Turn off blender. Pour drink into 2 glasses. If desired, serve with pieces of toast spread with peanut butter. Makes 2 servings.

Ahhh, that is the mistake I was making, I used milk instead of yogurt.  Still tastes good, but is more liquidy than smooth.

There are more where those came from. Also try adding 1/4 more and ingredients and then adding in 1/2 cup crushed ice to the blender as well.  I think you will enjoy the change in texture.

I can make hot soup in my blender!

Mostly creams, as you basically turn the blender on high for about 5 minutes, and the friction causes the stuff to actually boil. Really good tomatto soup, I spice it just right.

The basic things necessary for a smoothie:

Fruit

Strainer

Blender

Ice

Yogurt

From there, just mix it how you like it. The strainer is for berries (you wouldn't think the seeds would be annoying, but they are).

Also, I have yet to find a smoothie that apples taste good in, so don't put them in.
