Since not much has been going here in the forums I thought I'd start a little something called News Worthy...
I'll try and include something for Everyone and iff ppl are interested in me doing it then cool.. if not I'll stop..
I'll divide it into a series of sections which I'll change/alter if I continue but for now its night time and I can't be stuffed doing anything big:
Games/Movies/World News/Research and knowledge
PC GAMES:
These are a few titles Im looking forward to getting my hands on with their respective websites included if the games arn't well known..
ROME TOTAL WAR
Rome Total War Webpage and Screenshots
Genre: Strategy real time
From the makers of Shogun and Medieval Total War comes Rome Total war which allows you to control the major factions of ancient roman times.
The major features of the game is that the battles will take place in stunning 3d details were you can actually see the faces of each of the individual soldiers AND battles will support up to and around 10,000 units. This came is just what the doctor ordered for anyone who loves epic battles. System requirments are reported to be low and their currently playing it on a p3 900 with minimal trouble. Said it shouldn't require much more than medieval total war did.
When not fighting in 3d you move, administrate and conquer armies/territories via an overhead map. For more info read the webpage features and details.
HALF LIFE 2
Doesn't need any introduction or info does it?
LORD OF THE REALM 3
Genre: Strategy real time
This is probably a game you'll either love or you hate based primarily if you've liked the other 2 games before it. This time its in 3d battles.
Medieval England.. the king is dead and the nobles squabble over who will get the throne. You basically administrate over your kingdom, build your own 3d castles is a good feature in this one and so on.
The previous two were alot of fun to play.
FARCRY
This game is sooo impressive it ain't funny.. details rivalling that of HL2 and is UEBER EDITING friendly..
Story: your on an island u dunno how u got there and your being hunted by mercaneries.. fair enough also u gotta rescue someone.. think its a chick.. but fuck all that for now.. the technology alone which I saw in like a 100 + meg movie is INSANE..
features:
-Fully destructable environments and Im talking the ground disintegrates from explosions and gun shots..
- HIGHLY DETAILED charachters..
- realistic lighting
- insanley good physics and ragdoll
-just look at the website for urself
Looking forward to the following titles as well but will have a hard time recreating their previous success hence some doubt on immersion factor but still sounds good:
-Hidden and Dangerous 2
-Call Of Duty ( I think thats what its called.. was something with duty anyway and is from the makers of MOH)
things that may spark interest:
-Battlefield Vietnam
-MOH pacific assault I think its called
MOVIES
TERMINATOR 3
Saw T3 the other day and I have to say its fairly entertaining.. a must see for old times sake. This time the director has taken Arnie a little lighter as it on a serious note it would be hard to follow in T2's footsteps. T3 is entertainment and worthwhile the watch, its also alot more comedic than the previous two.
I have to say theres a few scenes that are really similar to T2's like the classic truck chase scene... but this is forgiven when you realize what kind of budget they spent alone on the chase scene. T3 is also a bit more toned down in the gore department and drama as I said before. Enjoyable watch and good to see arnie playing the role he was made for.... a machine...
The plot is well done and theres enough story to ensure you won't be like WTF is that all about.
Rating: 7/10
Movies I look forward to:
-Pirates of the caribean (probably enjoyable if u liked the mummy)
I have to wrap things up here cause its getting late so I'll leave you with a few recommendations and about what I was going to write about for the other two sections which I'll do tommorrow given feedback... this could have been put in entertainment section I suppose but anyway....
Movies you should hire that are on my A+ list of gems that you may not have heard of:
-13th warrior
-The Assignment
-Ravenous
-Apt Pupil
-The emperors Groove (may appeal to less mature audiences)
Tommorrow if this section gets any good ratings i'll talk more about movies and stuff but i was gonna write about the following research and knowledge topics:
- Bodybuilding; Musashi protein and ammino acid products, tips and questions
- The world of the pollitically correct and hypocrites in politics.
Anyway let me know what you think.
