Well its about that time where I take a picture to check myself compared to i dunno how long ago.. As a hobby and complete life saver I am trying my hand at working out.. I've been doing so for a few months now and I really hope I can continue doing so just so I can look as good as l33 ;0

I've still got a fair way to go till Im happy... I need more chest/pecks and Im doing that by tons of pushups and gym equipment for pecks.. and Im trying to mainly build up my arms.. I not to long ago took up doing abdomen as well.. that seems to be paying off a little..

Btw I don't generally look that toned however with the light and my having just excercised for 40 mins you can see veins etc..

I know some of you do weights like frod who is way stronger than me and I know l33 used to do weights a plenty... so why not share your protein shake recipies, workout time tables or anything ealse that you would like which you think could be of use perhaps what kind of protein drinks u buy and if you have any warnings for people like myself as in don't do's PLEASE mention them. thanks

well, i'm no expert but, the tricep is bigger than the bicep. i guess i should say the tricep gives the arm a larger appearance if they are larger. however the bicep is important too, so don't neglect them.

hope that helps.

I envy you in many, many ways Himmel

We all envy someone, right now you seeing a picture of me at my best but if you look at me at my worst you could have second thoughts haha..

I envy a friend/almost brother of mine so much cause he's such a ladies man.I wish I had his body to work with, then I could really do some damage. He doesn't do any weights but has good proportions. Now Nemo you have two perfectly good arms two perfectly good legs, you starting weights and your not bad looking so my advice to you is to always be looking at long term goals and enjoy life in the now and take opportunities as thgey come. Nothing ventured nothing gained. If you think muscles will help you improve your confidence then by all means go for it!

In a lot of respects Nemo your better than me as are most people in this channel. Im driven by an obsession to do weights due to the fact I used to have a really low self esteem and really low self confidence. Now Im fighting that with every bone in my body, I've suffered depression, paranoia, insane ammounts of anger and due to my inability to function with other people due to these emotions I felt quite rejected. Only now are things going uphill and still I have some of these emotions.

I basically NEED to go to the gym 3 times a week and excercise at home because it gives me a sense of accomplishment, without it I would feel really low. So everyone excels at something and everyone has talents, skills, looks that make them an individually interesting person. You will never see a man or woman who has it all. Theres always something missing, but the most important thing to have is joy in life cause you only live once.

If your happy in your life Nemo then thats all you need to make a huge difference to yourself and everyone around you.

Dunno why but your envying me struck a chord with me so I decided to give a speech.. sorry if it was a little long but yeah ;0

Himmel you're in better shape now than I've ever been in my life. By my standards you've already succeeded.

I think it all depends on how far you want to go. If your looking to quite literally beef up, then it's going to be down to how much you start to eat. I'd approach in this kind of fashion, bare in mind I'm not a body builder but I am a martial artist since I was aged five, the first thing you should be doing is freshen up and then straight onto some excerise. Light excerise, this shouldn't involve any weights, merely some pushup's and pressup's ranging from 20-30, this will get the body going and burn off anything you have left of last night's meal.

eat breakfast you don't want to be keeling over from lack of proper food. I suggest cereal, lots of or something similar. If you can, hit a gym or do some static muscluar excercise in the afternoon. I'd suggest a light lunch, something which will digest easily.

When I get home I eat a mixture of pasta, chicken, oriental stuff etc quite large and filling. I shower than train for about an hour, I include a repetition of light weight's in this, nothing more than 4KG and twenty repetitions. I finish the night with a health yoghurt, which aids digestion and a glass of water then a few pressup's and situp's.

This is pretty light in comparison to some, and probably better suited for when you reach your desired build and want to keep it at that level. If you can get hold of the Bruce Lee autobio/work out he includes a very detailed and lengthy piece on conditioning your body.

I believe that half of the equation lies in your ability to enjoy what you do, I know alot of builders, who do what they do because they merely have to. It's not enjoyable and neither do they reap the benefits you would expect.

Just like Yoga, body building is a very long term thing, some speak of instant results, and yea sometimes muscle does tone and start to build at a speedy rate but use common sense and just keep your mind in check. Your doing this for yourself, not for the need to make it feel like you can now speak to others.

Good luck with it man.
