Need a Half Life 2 installation crack..

I bought Half life 2 and I can't connect to the internet to register it with my new pc nor do I have access to phone line or net where Im boarding.. any help? I havn't tried to instaall it yet but this is what the games sales men said.. any help out there?

Although there is apparently a workaround to play the game without Steam, your pretty likely to get your account banned should Steam ever smell something fishy going on.

I'd reccomend downloading the Steam client on somebody else's computer, then logging into your account and registering it from there, since HL2 only requires that it's verified on your account.

never mind.. I hooked me modem up and the whole thing took about 5 hours to install etc cause of my 56k...

One of my soldiers was sent this game for Christmas. I am hoing you guys can find this answer because he cannot use our work connection and everytime he uses the net cafes it errors out.

keep an eye out on gamecopyworld.com. I'm sure someone will eventually make a patch so you do not have to authenticate with the Steam servers.

If someone sees it and could email it to me that would rock. THe filters on our net here prevents us from accessing and game related sites.

Disregard. He spent 6 hours on two different days to do it, but it finally completed.
