here's the scenario:

i meet a girl at uni (university), i like the girl a bit, wouldn't mind going out with her for a while, but this is where i'm in trouble...

i'm 99% sure that she'd go out with me, but i can't stand being burned (lame i know) so now i'm in a predicament. i'm going to ask her to come around to my place to 'study' because last week she was moaning about not being able to do something that i can do pretty easily.

should i send her a text message to break the water or should i just ring her... my nuts have just shrunk!

it has to be either today or tomorrow because we've our mid-semester break this week so no school and lots of time...

help!!

g0g0g0 phonesecks!

on a more serious note:

I'd suggest you calling her up. Nothing can substitute the warmth of the human voice.

Text, if it goes wrong you can prob dig yourself out of it better than the phone.

Depends, do they text as much in aus as they do in the UK?

Text is easier if she says no....but look at you! why would she? ;0

Just call her up, and let the "mr_lee" inside you do the talking

as a man of experience...

girls like hearing your voice, no matter what you're talking about, just bullshit with her over the phone and you'll win her heart. those little things make a girls day, just call her up.

text messaging is...like...wow...ok..thanks...

doesn't mean anything.....

so call that girl up and if you're scared, i'll talk to her and go out with her, haha! sell this fatty

I was ever in the similar situation.

After wandering around for 30 mins, I just called her up and in 30 sec I got a happily voice "I thought you'll never ask."

I almost jumped to break the cell and kill myself for that well wasted 30 mins. :)

After that she told me she was also unsure about my feel about her until she heard my voice on the phone.

So, voice could express lots of things while text could only be text.

Just,

"Let mr_lee inside you while you are doing the talk."

Well, text is easier on yourself, but it kinda makes you look a bit funny, if you know what I mean. If you want to talk to her, why not use the phone?

Of course, I wouldn't no any better since I lack the balls to confront girls. Yet I still think you should try the phone. If you're still too nervous about it, then get yourself a bit tipsy and set your mind "on the level" before you dial. The hardest part should then be more easy to take care of and the slim chance of a rejection won't be as bad.

But like I said, I wouldn't really fucking know any better.
