For every fan of Oreos out there I would wager to say that with all these new flavors they are putting out a new fan is born every ten seconds. In particular I am refering to the new Coffee and Cream Flavor. Now I know its not totally new, I did first try them when they came out seven months ago.
Ok so now for every coffee lover out there I know that anytime something coffee flavored comes out we have to try it (I am an over avid coffee fiend). So when these new Oreos came out I jumped on them. When I first opened the bag the smell of coffee hit me right in the face, it was awesome. I was astounded and I hadn't even tried them yet. I mean let alone they where Oreos and they where coffee flavored already had my mouth watering, but that aroma literally made me drool. Ok so now I am ready to put the first cookie in my mouth and you the closer it gets to your face the stronger the scent.
Now even though it said coffee and smelled like a k-rad cup of Joe, I didn't really expect it to be as sinfully delicious as they turned out to be. After about 15 minutes of opening the bag my wife came in the room and asked if she could try one.... without realizing it I handed her and empty container. That took me by surprise. I had not realized how good they had turned out to be.
Now on to the flavor for real. The creamer flavor didn't actually tatse like a non-dairy creamer or a shot o Half & Half. It had more of a regular oreo filling flavor with a hint of milky vanilla. The coffee flavor had a nice actually fresh brewed taste to it. It tatses of a good medium roast, I venture to say a French Roast, but a tad stronger. I think they tried to throw a hazelnut or mocha flavor into it as well, but it was so faint I could only guess at the attempt on the aforementioned.
I would love to hear other peoples input on this flavor of Oreo or even personal reviews.
