Radeon 9600 or GeForceFX 5600

Keep in mind that i have only 7 hours to decide. They are both about the same price but looking at benchmarks and whatnot it looks like i would have to go with the radeon. See the link below for why.

After reading a few reviews and checking out some comparisons i think i have no choice but to get the Radeon. Hopefully the inclusion of DX9 shaders will help with newer games though i still have a CPU bottleneck till i can get my new board/cpu/ram.

Got the Radeon but they were all out of ATI so i went with power color. Apparently its just as good as ATI but cost 40 bux less so i figure i did pretty good. On the other hand i am back at work (i ran to the store to get it but had to come back to finish stuff up) instead of at home enjoying some Call of Duty goodness.

The Radeon is very good for overclocking, because it uses the same core as the 9800 pro, just the clock dosnt run as fast

Actually it seems it depends on the model you get. I read a review of teh Sapphire Radeon 9600 and apparently its heatsink doesn't have a fan on it so it overclocking was limited. Fortunately mine does although until i get my new cpu and board, i won't be seeing any performace gain from ocing.
