Is Utah as bad as Kungfubar says?

Since the beginning of time, there has been one thing that Fubar complains about more than anything else. Utah.

Now having lived in Utah for most of his life, he doesn't seem like an expert on travel. This leads me to believe what we may be witnessing is a classic example of "raging against the machine".

Most people here have probably never been to Utah, and their only opinions of the place are based around fubar's complaing. Rather than offer specific reasons as to why, most often we hear the simple phrase "Utah sucks". It should be noted Fubar even moved back there on his own free will after being in Colorado for a year, hinting that it may be better than at least one state.

Having not traveled beyond the east coast myself, I can't say for sure. However, I did hire a team of japanese scientists to tackle such a task. After 5 years of extensive research and $6 million dollars of budget overruns, they produced this highly scientific map.

As you can see while Utah isn't the best state, it's far from the worst. There's hope for you yet Fubar, maybe you don't live in such a bad place afterall.

Whoa! I hired some Kazahstan scientists to take part in this SAME exact study. They ended up finding more credible data than those crazy jap's you hired. There are some similarities in each of our studies, but I find my data to be more impacting.

i've only been in 4 states in all my life. 24 years to be exact. kansas, oklahoma, texas, and nebraska. i haven't experienced utah yet, and i see that kansas is supposedly the same as utah, but i'd have to say it's much better.

I put money on Fubar being right. I mean seriously we are talking about a state that is run for the most part by the Mormon church...

BTW JFK give us a break ain't shit cool about Oregon, you fucking townie. I am from PA and like it and think its cool and all but it is no where even close to being the best just cause I am from there....

Salt Lake City would be okay except for the 50% Mormon population and all the shit those bastards control. Most all non-coastal states are the lose, because they don't have major cities. Major cities are always near water, and if you ain't got major water you got a shitty state.

Hence the reason why ontario is so fucking cool. We have TONS of water EVERYWHERE and Toronto is pretty fucking cool. And so is Ottawa if you are into nations capitals and stuff. For the most part the rest of the province sucks but then again i could just be a highly biased Torontonian.

I used the Japanese research as a springboard for my own studies.

Having grown up in a blue area, Maryland/Washington D.C. for the first 15 years of my life, I have something to compare it too :D

Utah sucks for the following reasons.

The populous is mostly Mormon, which in it self isn't bad, but they have turned into into a giant circle jerk of conservatism and 'family values'.

The Drivers here are the I have ever seen in the nation. I drove through San Francisco and Los Angeles for E3 in 2002, Lived in Colorado for a year, and grew up in the nations capital.

The weather here sucks. Seven months of the year it is blistering hot. During one weird day in September, the weather takes a nose dive to hell and it will remain 20 degrees until next May.

Rental here is horrid. I pay $300 a month to share an apartment with some asshole who probably sniffs his fingers after scratching his ass.

I moved back to Utah because I wanted to hook up with a chick. It went fine the first month, then she remembered she was from Utah and went to being a whore again.

Let it be known that on September 2nd, 2004, I will be leaving this state forever, as I will not ever have a reason to return. I will be living in Colorado Springs, which I feel is a much better place.

I still believe Oregon is the best state in everything that I look for regarding my personal interests.
